Restful Kauai

After our grueling odyssey going to Great Britain, Egypt, Morocco, and Phoenix, we flew from the latter to Kauai at the beginning of June 2012 for some much-needed R&R. We stayed one week at the Hale Nui/Hale Lii properties in the Hanalei Nature Preserve, where we could enjoy the relative silence and isolation. The weather was not terrific, however, as it was cloudier, colder, and wetter than we wanted. There were swells on the east coast that limited the amount of snorkeling. Still, it was nice to get away.
